The theme of the choir concert on Monday will be The Greatest of These is Love, according to Mrs. Seiler. She is very enthusiastic for the first choir concert of the year, and expects the performance to be stunning.
“I’m excited,” Mrs. Seiler. “It’s gonna be great, the kids have worked hard.”
An expected highlight will be “This Marriage” by Eric Witaker.
The Madrigal’s performance of “This Marriage” is highly anticipated due to the fact that Mrs. Seiler will dedicate it to her husband. The couple just celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary this last summer.
“Its for all married people,” she said.
“There’s a lot of louds and softs; it’s very intricate and heartwarming,” said Noah Burgess about the piece.
Overall, the concert is expected to be remarkable, said Richard Avelar, a member of the Madrigals Choir.
“They need to be prepared to crack,” he said. “Bring a box of tissues because they’re gonna be crying because it’s gonna be amazing.”
“His Love Never Fails” is one song that Richard’s younger brother, Raymond, is excited to perform.
“It’s like you get to clap and its fast. It’s not slow it’s fast,” said Raymond.
He thinks it will be an incredible performance because of the way the song is different than other songs in its genre. The upbeat tempo differs from traditional Church hymns.
“It’s just gonna be a really good concert, I think,” said Chloe Charles, a sophomore member of the Chanterelles.
The doors of the Auditorium will open at 6:30 p.m. on Monday and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Seating is open and will be first come first serve, so come early.
