Gameday Preview: Holy War Regular Season Finale

Carroll will run out onto the field on last time during the regular season

Dillon Malone, Sports Editor

For the third and final time this eight-week season, the Bishop Carroll football team is at home, and it’s the Holy War. Kapaun comes in after a thrilling overtime victory over St. James Academy last week and Carroll comes off a brilliant second-half performance at Heights.  Expect a big crowd on both sides as neither team is going to want to give an inch. For Kapaun, expect to see an experienced offensive line that will try to help with its run game led by the likes of Nick Channel and Michael Tomblin. For Carroll, look to see the defensive secondary try to disrupt Kapaun’s passing game by way of interceptions.

Prediction

The Holy War is always a good football game no matter how good or bad either team is. With that being said, expect to see a great high school football atmosphere and an exciting game on the field. The game should be fun, with the unexpected being expected, and whoever receives the benefit of the unexpected will be in good shape to win the game. I think that Carroll should continue its winning ways against that Catholic school across town. SCORE: BC 31, KMC 24
