Week 13: St. Thomas Aquinas Saints

It’s state week! Our goal is right in front of us but first, we have to battle it out with St. Thomas Aquinas. Aquinas has good size and primarily runs the ball; defensively they have a few weak spots that we will try and exploit. Since we are out of school we have been using the extra time to watch a lot of film on St. Thomas Aquinas and also on ourselves to correct mistakes. In practice we have been running our offense and defense against the scout team. As we have seen all season, this routine has helped us be prepared and expect nothing different for the game on Saturday. Coach Trail told us this week that we don’t have to be perfect we just have to fight. He has also told us that we have played good teams this year and this Saturday won’t be any different so we just have to go play like we have been. Everyone is ready for this game, especially us seniors who have been preparing for this ever since our freshman year. We are ready to give everything we have Saturday so make sure to come out to Pittsburg and cheer on your Golden Eagles one last time!
