For a Photojournalism assignment, Lorenzo Barles shot portraits of Karly Johnson and asked her a few questions. Check back for more “Getting to know” features in the future. 

Q. What do you like to do in your spare time and why? “I like to hang out with my friends in my spare time. Because I just like to.”

Q. What is your favorite subject/class and why? “My favorite class is psychology. It’s because I watched eight movies in that class.”

Q. What is your favorite movie and why? “The Greatest Showman is my favorite movie. I really enjoyed the music/soundtrack.”

Q. What is your favorite food and why? “I have no clue because there is too many to choose.”

Q. Describe your family. “I have one sister, who is in college. I also have a dog named Buddy.”

Q. What do you want to do after high school/college and why? “I want to be a child psychologist. I want to do this because I want to help kids with their problems.”

Q. What is your favorite color and why? “My favorite color is red. Red is my favorite because it’s my family’s favorite color.

Q. What is your favorite animal and why? “Dogs are my favorite animal. Because there are so many to choose from and they’re adorable.”

Q. Where do you want to go to college and why? “I want to go to Pitt State. I want to go there because it’s affordable and my sister goes there.”

Q. What is your favorite holiday and why? “Fourth of July because I get to parade.”
