The new video board in Bishop Carroll Family Stadium should be up and running by the first football game on Friday night.
The video board was donated by four sponsors, Athletic Director Tyler Fraizer said. It is 15 feet by 25 feet. But the structure overall is 40 by 40, including the video board with a fixed scoreboard under it.
It will be used for replays, football games, soccer games and track meets – basically everything held at the stadium, Mr. Fraizer said.
“The possibilities are endless; it’s just the amount of work we can get from certain individuals,” Mr. Fraizer said.
Fraizer sees the new board being especially useful for track meets.
“The idea, once we get the proper equipment and software, is to run live results for track meets so if you have a kid running across the finish line for the hundred meters to have the right software place to put the times and placings up right away,” Mr. Fraizer said.
