Both boys and girls took second place behind Kapaun on Saturday at Cessna Activities Center.
Sattler has emerged as a top runner in her first year of running cross country. Sattler’s time was second only to Hope Jackson, a two-time state champion now running at Iowa State.
Coach Ron Russell said, “She (Gwen) ran very, very well. She crushed it.”
In the boys race, senior Luke Meier led BC with a fourth-place finish.
“The competition was really, really good this year,” Coach Russell said. “Kapaun’s
team is loaded.”
Regional competition is Saturday at Brown Thrush Park.
